About the role Our client is a well-capitalized early-stage aviation venture developing a hybrid scheduled-charter operation serving high-volume business corridors in the Northeast and Midwest. Founded by veterans of private equity and commercial aviation, the company is building a capital-efficient operating model designed to deliver premium service without the cost structure of legacy carriers. The role provides an opportunity to serve as the financial backbone of the organization during pre-launch and early operations, partnering closely with the CFO and executive team. This role suits a hands-on financial professional who can move fluidly between strategic modeling and daily accounting execution. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain the company's financial model, including revenue projections, cost structures, fleet economics, and unit economics by route Develop annual operating budgets, quarterly forecasts, and rolling cash flow projections Conduct route profitability analysis, load factor sensitivity modeling, and fuel hedging scenario planning Support fundraising efforts with investor-grade financial materials, data room preparation, and due diligence response Establish the company's accounting infrastructure, including chart of accounts, ERP selection, and month-end close processes Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll integration, and general ledger activities Oversee cash management, banking relationships, aircraft financing documentation, and lease accounting Partner with operations, maintenance, and commercial leaders on contract review, vendor negotiations, and aircraft acquisition versus leasing decisions Build dashboards and KPI reporting for the executive team and board Requirements 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in commercial aviation, transportation, or capital-intensive operating businesses Strong technical accounting skills, including familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting and aircraft-related GAAP considerations Advanced financial modeling capability, including three-statement modeling and scenario analysis Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA or CFA strongly preferred Ability to operate effectively in complex, high-ambiguity startup environments Preferred Qualifications Direct experience at a Part 121 or Part 135 carrier, OEM, or aviation lessor Prior involvement in launching new air operating ventures Experience supporting institutional fundraising rounds Benefits Remuneration & Benefits Package Base Salary: $160,000 to $200,000 annually + Performance-Based Compensation Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance (employee and family coverage) 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution Flexible paid time off (PTO) policy Keller is a recruitment agency that provides services to clients ranging from startups and non profits to multinational corporations.
