Position Summary:
The Field Team Lead serves as the primary technical resource and communication liaison for field personnel. This individual provides day-to-day leadership by supporting crews, assisting with technical challenges, reinforcing company expectations, and communicating field concerns to management. The Team Lead promotes accountability, consistency, and professionalism while helping maintain a productive and positive work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
• Serve as the first point of contact for technical questions and field-related issues.
• Assist crews with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Promote consistent installation methods and adherence to company standards.
• Identify recurring technical issues and recommend improvements.
Team Leadership
• Provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship to field personnel.
• Foster teamwork, professionalism, and accountability.
• Set the standard for work ethic, quality, and safety.
• Assist in training and developing newer employees.
Accountability
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies.
• Address minor performance concerns promptly through coaching and constructive feedback.
• Document recurring performance or attendance issues and communicate them to management.
• Recommend corrective actions when appropriate.
• Recognize and reinforce positive performance and professional behavior.
Communication
• Communicate company updates, procedural changes, and project information to field personnel.
• Relay concerns, suggestions, and operational challenges from the field to management.
• Help resolve issues before they escalate whenever possible.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Recommend training needs based on recurring field observations.
• Assist in developing and implementing best practices.
Authority
The Field Team Lead is expected to provide leadership, coaching, and accountability within the field. This role has the authority to:
• Address routine performance issues.
• Coach employees to correct behaviors or improve performance.
• Assign daily work responsibilities as directed by project management.
• Recommend recognition, additional training, or disciplinary action.
The Field Team Lead does not have the authority to:
• Issue written disciplinary actions without management approval.
• Suspend or terminate employees without management approval.
• Conduct formal performance evaluations.
• Approve compensation changes.
• Make hiring or termination decisions.
Formal disciplinary actions remain the responsibility of Operations Management Team.

• Consistently completes and submits all required paperwork accurately, thoroughly, and on time.
• Holds a current Journeyman license and demonstrates the knowledge and experience expected of that credential.
