Field Service Technician- (Portsmouth to Basingstoke) Field Based – UK-Wide Specialist Engineering Business The Company Our client is a market leader in the design and delivery of automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), helping organisations across sectors such as automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, and logistics to maximise efficiency and space. With over 25 years of proven expertise, they continue to provide cutting-edge technology and unrivalled customer support across the UK and Ireland. The Role We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join the field engineering team, supporting customers across the (Portsmouth to Basingstoke radius) Key responsibilities include: • Electrical and mechanical fault finding (predominantly electrical). • Delivering high levels of customer service in line with company standards. • Clear and professional communication with clients. • Accurate reporting and completion of documentation/call trackers in a timely manner. • Working independently while maintaining regular communication with the team. • Assisting colleagues when required. • Ensuring PPE is properly maintained and used in accordance with health and safety requirements. • Adhering to quality and H&S standards at all times. Requirements • Recognised electrical/electronic qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent). • Strong industrial background (manufacturing, engineering, production environments). • Experience with 3-phase motors, 415v systems, and CPU testing. • Basic mechanical knowledge desirable (e.g. bearings, drives, sprockets – training provided).
