This role requires a high degree of travel- both domestically and internationally. You may return to your place of residence in between hitches. Hitches are a couple days to up to two week. Marine Services Company seeking a Service Lead and 3 technicians to join our team. This position is suited for candidates who has experience with hands-on marine engineering experience. You will be able to work independently, under general supervision, to solve problems and provide technical marine engineering/ generator solutions in accordance with the customer’s service requirements. You perform duties in any or all of the following specialties: Job Responsibilities • Install, repair, maintain, and modify mechanical systems including pumps, piping, valves, flanges, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. • For Lead: Act as primary mechanical POC, lead JSA’s. toolbox talks, and safety briefings. Ensure OSHA and ISO 9001 compliance. • Diagnosing and repairing electro- mechanical system on board ships and in power plants • Performing preventative technical maintenance tasks • Fabricating materials to effectively make repairs when the situation calls for it • Thinking on your feet to solve problems in the field, sometimes with limited resources • Working with teammates to accomplish customer and company goals Requirements for this role include: • Verifiable mechanical or electrical skills with demonstrable hands-on experience • Strong communication skills and high integrity • A desire to learn about new mechanical systems • Ability to move in and around small spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary • Local and international travel required Benefits include: • Health insurance, 401K • Accrued PTO • Paid holidays • Work on and around the ocean on cruise ships and power plants. • Master a valuable trade with high, consistent demand • Consistent on-the-job training opportunities to advance your career • Work for one of the country’s most well regarded marine technical services group.
