Description
The Client Our client is a global manufacturer of premium capital equipment — a business that wins on engineering quality, reliability and the strength of its service operation rather than on price. Having built a formidable presence in Great Britain, it has made its most exciting strategic move in years: a newly opened Northern Ireland operation, with a branch established, service engineers already on the road, and customers already trading. The long-term ambition is serious — to build Northern Ireland into a full-scale operation over the coming years — and the investment behind it is real. Behind the front line sits a national marketing division and a dedicated telemarketing team whose job is to feed opportunity into the field. The Role You’ll be the first salesperson on the ground — the name on the sales map for a global brand building something new. This is genuine new business development, around 80% hunting: identifying prospects across Northern Ireland’s industrial landscape, getting on site, conducting surveys and demonstrations, and delivering quotations face to face. The deals are substantial, the sales cycles run over weeks and months, and the pipeline you build this year pays you next year and the year after. You’ll be supported with structured product training from day one, weekly coaching, and a lead engine behind you — but the territory, and the credit for what it becomes, is yours. The Candidate You’re a hunter who plays the long game. You’ve built a new business pipeline from scratch and you know the discipline it takes — the prospecting rhythm, the patience while deals mature, the persistence to stay the course when others drift back to whatever renews easily. What you’ve sold matters far less than how you’ve sold it: any background earns an interview if you can demonstrate long-cycle new business development done properly. Perhaps you’re a business development manager, territory salesperson or field sales executive who’s proven the craft and now wants a canvas worthy of it — because the person who builds this territory has first claim on leading it, and this operation will need a Branch Manager as it grows. The Reward £33,000 basic salary with realistic on-target earnings of £60,000 and uncapped commission beyond it. A brand-new, top-specification hybrid company car. Pension, phone and laptop, funded professional sales qualifications, and weekly coaching from a sales leader invested in your success. And the reward that outlasts all of it: the chance to look at a thriving operation in a few years and know you were the one who built it.
