A MUNICIPAL SNOW division that contracts : Skid steer loaders, Back Hoe Loaders, and 10' MC -26,000 LBS non CDL Dumpster Trucks KnK currently has three active "Shop/Farm" locations. Norton - West Wareham Seeking a "Farm hand" / "Shop Hand" to predominantly work out of the Norton Farm. The shop hand is responsible for shop & Farm maintenance but will also be utilized for contracted projects. Responsibilities • Assist with various farm tasks such as planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, plows, and irrigation systems • Care for and handle animals, including feeding, watering, and cleaning • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment • Assist with the maintenance of gardens and greenhouses • Help with the construction and repair of fences, buildings, and other structures on the farm Requirements • Mechanical knowledge and experience with farm machinery • Familiarity with equine care and handling • Knowledge of growing practices, including irrigation techniques • Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions • Experience in equipment repair is a plus • Understanding of animal husbandry principles • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment is an asset • General labor as requested by supervisor at various project locations.
