What You'll Do:
• Manage case files from intake through final disposition, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Prepare attorneys and clients for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial.
• Coordinate with courts, clients, opposing counsel, and third parties regarding scheduling and case matters.
• Maintain case calendars, organize exhibits, and assist with trial preparation.
• Review, organize, and summarize financial records and other case-related documents.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients throughout the legal process.
• Assist attorneys with day-to-day case management and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and proposed orders.
What You Bring to the Table:
• 2+ years of family law paralegal experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Texas family law procedures and legal documentation.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
• Empathy and professionalism when working with clients during emotionally difficult situations.
• Familiarity with Collin, Denton, and Dallas County courts is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
Required Education & Qualifications:
• Paralegal certificate, associate degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years of family law paralegal experience strongly preferred.
• Notary Public commission is a plus but not required.
• Experience with Texas e-filing systems and legal practice management software is preferred.
