An exceptional opportunity for a proactive and service-driven Chauffeur seeking a rewarding long-term role within a prestigious private household, where no two days are the same. Job Summary: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and professional Chauffeur to join a private household based in St John’s Wood, London. The successful candidate will provide a first-class chauffeur service to the family, offering a reliable, proactive and flexible approach to all aspects of the role. The ideal candidate will have an “old-school” chauffeur mindset, taking pride in being available when required, remaining on hand during working hours, and providing a seamless service to the principals, children, guests and household team. This role would suit someone who naturally goes above and beyond, is happy to assist wherever needed, and takes ownership of their responsibilities. Alongside driving duties, the Chauffeur will be responsible for maintaining the family vehicles to an exceptional standard, managing servicing and upkeep, completing errands, and supporting with general household requirements when required. The role will also involve occasional European travel, including transporting vehicles to the family’s Marbella residence during the summer months. The family is seeking someone who is polished, trustworthy and dependable, with excellent driving skills, strong initiative and a genuine commitment to providing a high level of private household service. Job specification: Daily school runs and transportation of the children to and from activities Driving the children to after-school activities, football, playdates and appointments Transporting tutors and assisting with the children’s schedules Driving the principals, guests, household staff and contractors when required Airport transfers, business meetings, shopping and general errands Providing a safe, calm and professional driving service at all times Remaining available during working hours and waiting nearby when required (outside of designated breaks) Assisting with luggage, opening doors and providing a high level of service Driving confidently throughout Central London with excellent route knowledge Travelling internationally when required, including driving vehicles to Marbella during the summer Maintaining vehicles to an exceptional standard, including cleaning, valeting, fuelling and arranging servicing/MOTs Completing general household errands, including parcel collection, pharmacy runs and basic assistance around the home when required Taking the family dog for walks and attending veterinary appointments when needed Assisting proactively with tasks around the household and being a supportive member of the team Candidate specification: Previous private household or executive chauffeur experience Excellent knowledge of Central London roads and surrounding areas A safe, smooth and considerate driving style A professional, polite and well-presented manner A genuine enjoyment of working with children and being part of a family environment A proactive attitude with the ability to assist wherever needed Strong communication skills and a calm, reliable nature Experience working around VIP/private households is advantageous A security, close protection or military background would be beneficial but is not essential Flexibility to travel internationally when required Comfortable around children and pets Non-smoker Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage How to apply: Applying for this position: Please email your interest in this position to [email protected] Please ensure you include the reference number for the position you are applying for (found at the top of the advert).
