Description
Job Summary: As a Facilities Technician , you will be responsible for the renovation and repair of the building and associated systems, constructing additions thereto, installation of new equipment and repair of existing equipment, maintenance, and general custodial care of the facility as assigned.
Responsibilities / Job Duties:
• Perform maintenance and repairs to buildings, grounds, and facility systems across assigned trades.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory in proper working order.
• Manage redundancy systems (water pumps, tanks, generators, fuel systems).
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure HVAC and other critical systems operate efficiently.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and address maintenance issues proactively.
• Respond to urgent maintenance needs and remain on-call for building emergencies.
• Support site safety, security systems, emergency procedures, and severe weather readiness.
• Complete required reporting and perform additional duties as assigned (including CCTV, ACS, and transportation coordination).
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, small engine mechanics, HVAC and custodial
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable working in emergency or high-pressure situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity
• Proficient in basic computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Be prepared to work extended hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel
