Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive Facility Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of our building facilities. In this role, you will ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment by handling routine repairs, managing preventative maintenance, and coordinating with outside contractors. You will also directly support our Production, Engineering, and Events teams to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
Core Responsibilities
· Facility Upkeep: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting systems.
· System Inspections: Conduct regular building inspections to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve facility issues early.
· Contractor Management: Direct outside contractors and ensure all specialized outsourced work is completed properly and on time.
· Operational Support: Assist Production and Engineering with studio setups, breakdowns, and support the Events team with in-house programs.
· Safety & Compliance: Implement safety protocols to ensure a secure environment and maintain compliance with building regulations.
· Space Organization: Maintain clean and organized mechanical rooms, storage areas, and common spaces.
· Administrative Tracking: Keep basic logs of maintenance activities, building inspections, and supplies used.
This is a part time position approximately 20 hours per week
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a related trade.
· Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of general building systems. Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems is highly preferred.
· Education: A technical degree or certified training in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC is helpful.
