Highly respected specialist business established reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the South West. Working with main contractors, developers, and private clients, they have successfully completed a diverse range of architectural and structural steel projects over many years.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join their skilled production team at their modern manufacturing facility in Somerset.
Key Responsibilities
• Manufacture and assemble a wide variety of bespoke products
• Read and interpret drawings to ensure accurate production.
• Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to deliver projects to a high standard.
• Produce high-quality fabricated and welded components in line with customer specifications.
• Operate workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and attention to detail.
• Contribute to a positive and productive workshop environment.
• Develop skills in advanced manufacturing technologies, including robotic welding and tube bending equipment where required.
About You
• Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder within a fabrication, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to confidently work from fabrication drawings.
• Strong welding and fabrication skills with a commitment to quality.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• Flexible approach with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Reliable, punctual, and driven to deliver high standards.
• Experience operating tube bending machinery and robotic welding systems would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Ideally hold an Apprenticeship, Level 3 BTEC, or equivalent qualification in Welding and Fabrication.
