Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Support daily functions including, but not limited to: • Support all daily functions of the shop • Fabricate, modify, and install truck bodies and equipment to chassis • Utilize tools such as: • Welders • Torches • Plasma cutters • Shears • Punch presses • Drill press • Metal cutting saws • Fabricate parts as needed • Weld ferrous and nonferrous metals using MIG or Arc (electrode) techniques • Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization Required Skills/Abilities: • General comprehension of, and experience in, the truck build up process • General understanding of truck components • Experience with Welding/Fabrication • Ability to work alone with minimal or no supervision • Working knowledge of basic office software (such as Microsoft Office) • Working knowledge of company software and procedures • Great attitude and ability to work with others • Good communication skills, written and verbal • Attention to detail and good organizational skills Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent • Current regular driver’s license to move our vehicles • Forklift operator certification • Overhead crane operator certification Physical Requirements (representative but not exhaustive): • Sitting, crouching, kneeling • Manual finger dexterity • Heavy lifting; 30 pounds or more • Twisting, bending, reaching, and stretching • Long periods of standing • Exposure to shop noise and dust • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures Core Values: • Integrity with a strong moral compass • Exceptional work ethic with grit • Team player attitude • Innovation Requirements • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including THC/marijuana), physical, and background check. • Must have a current drivers license to move our vehicles. • Must be able to work 7am-5pm shifts Monday through Friday and 7am-11am shifts two Saturdays a month.
