We have an open position in our After School Spartan Care Service for the 2026-2027 School Year. The job would start Wednesday, August 19, 2026 and happen every day that school is in session.
Part-Time: 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm, 5 days per week, during school sessions.
Pay rate range: $15 - $16.50 per hour

General Duties
• Provide students with a safe and supportive learning environment in both the classroom and on the playground.
• Gather students and take attendance.
• Distribute snacks and milk to students.
• Create activities and prepare materials that are interesting, educational, and safe for students in grades Preschool through 5th grade.
• Support students who need help with instruction, homework, and activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Understand and follow specific instructions and procedures, including safety procedures.
• Possess child supervision skills.
• Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children.
• Skilled in preparing instructional aids and plans.

Key Responsibilities
Before/After School (Extended Care Duties):
• Supervise students in the extended care program during designated hours.
• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate games, activities, and quiet time.
• Ensure student safety and adherence to school behavioral expectations.
• Maintain accurate attendance and incident records as required.
• Communicate effectively with parents during pick-up and drop-off.
• Qualifications and Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or experience in childcare/education preferred.
• Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Demonstrated patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with school staff.
• Must pass a background check and meet all state and diocesan requirements for working with children.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Working Conditions
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
• Requires the ability to lift to 25 lbs.
• May require outdoor supervision in various weather conditions.
