Responsibilities include: • Perform TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on mild steel, stainless steel (304 & 439), and aluminum • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions • Fit and weld assemblies according to specifications • Plan work sequences and determine tooling and material requirements • Prepare materials and surfaces for welding • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications • Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools, including grinders, drills, and pneumatic tools • Monitor welding equipment and consumables to maintain efficient production • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area • Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements Qualifications We're looking for candidates who have: • Minimum of two years of TIG and MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment • Experience welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum • Strong blueprint reading and print interpretation skills • Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds with excellent attention to detail • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment • Excellent attendance and a strong work ethic • Willingness to work overtime as needed • Ability to successfully complete an in-house weld test Preferred Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED • AWS Welding Certification • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles Physical Requirements This position requires working in a manufacturing environment and includes: • Standing for extended periods throughout the shift • Frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds • Repetitive bending, reaching, and material handling • Safe operation of welding and fabrication equipment while maintaining production and quality standards Americans with Disabilities Specifications The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
