ROLE OVERVIEW
We're looking for an experienced Social and Community Engagement Manager to help us build strong connections with existing clients as well as potential nonprofit clients. Our vision is to make Getting Attention an indispensable resource for community and marketing guidance in the nonprofit sector.
This role is both strategic and hands-on — you’ll manage our community engagement strategy, create meaningful touchpoints with nonprofits, and help grow the audience for our services by fostering trust, education, and advocacy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Community Engagement & Growth
- Monitor Getting Attention’s social media channels and identify opportunities to better engage with clients, nonprofit professionals, and other organizations in the sector.
- Participate in nonprofit-focused communities (Reddit, LinkedIn groups, forums) by offering helpful, expert responses.
- Build and nurture Getting Attention’s owned communities to become a go-to resource for nonprofit marketing guidance.
- Create a strong user engagement strategy
- Client Education & Retention
- Host regular Zoom sessions, workshops, and Q&As to help nonprofit staff, leadership, and boards of directors better understand the Google Ad Grant and how Getting Attention supports success.
- Gather client feedback through community interactions and events, sharing insights with the internal team to improve service delivery.
- Content & Social Media Management
- Develop and execute a content calendar across social platforms, highlighting nonprofit marketing best practices, success stories, and thought leadership.
- Repurpose webinars, blogs, and client case studies into engaging, shareable social content.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Track engagement metrics such as social reach, community growth, event attendance, and session feedback.
- Provide regular reports with insights and actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Partner with the marketing team to amplify campaigns through community-driven initiatives.
- Design engagement activities that strengthen client relationships.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 5–10 years of professional experience in community management, client engagement, or social media management, with proven ability to build and execute engagement strategies independently.
- Communication Skills: Impeccable written and spoken English; excellent presentation and facilitation skills for virtual events.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling tools (Hubspot or native schedulers).
- Strong Zoom hosting skills (breakout rooms, live
