University of Houston is hiring an Executive Director of Development for Bauer College. This role directs the major gifts program, manages a team of development officers, and leads strategic planning, donor cultivation, and fundraising initiatives to support the university's mission and development goals. Highlights • Direct and oversee the central major gifts program and a team of development officers. • Create and implement strategic operating plans for major gift fundraising. • Identify prospects and coordinate cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies. • Conduct exploratory visits with potential major gift donors. • Manage special fundraising projects and administer budget and personnel. • Recruit and manage volunteer leadership for major gift solicitation and development strategies. • Serve as a university resource on major giving activities, techniques, and methods. • Requires a minimum of 7 years of directly related experience or equivalent education. • Knowledge typically obtained from a 4-year degree or specialized training in a relevant discipline. • Salary commensurate with education and experience.
