Compensation: CAD $ 20/Hr. OVERVIEW: A floor attendant/cleaner   is responsible for   maintaining   cleanliness and overall appearance of assigned areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. They perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces. The role includes monitoring public spaces, restrooms, and work areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards. They promptly respond to spills, hazards, or guest requests to   maintain   a high level   of service. Floor attendants also follow health, safety, and organizational procedures while working efficiently as part of a team. RESPONSIBILITIE S: • Responsible for stocking central storage areas and workstations with   appropriate supply   levels, including conducting regular inventory counts • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of common and public areas throughout the casino property • Perform carpet and tile cleaning, including extraction and stain removal as   required • Execute guest delivery requests efficiently through internal systems (e.g., Synergy) • Collect and dispose of waste; clean carpeted areas, remove gum and stains, vacuum upholstery, and reposition furniture and equipment after cleaning • Sweep, dust mop, and wet mop   hard surface   flooring to   maintain   cleanliness standards • Clean and dust all surfaces, including walls, doors, fixtures, gaming equipment, furnishings, glass, and display cases • Service,   clean , and sanitize restroom facilities, ensuring all fixtures and supplies meet hygiene standards • Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members while adhering to departmental procedures, schedules, and performance expectations • Identify   and report maintenance issues,   damages , safety hazards, or loss of property promptly • Assist   with emergency clean-ups and provide operational support to cover staffing shortages as needed • Foster a guest-focused environment that promotes the brand, supports positive guest relations, and contributes to exceptional service standards • Perform   additional   duties as assigned in support of operational needs • Demonstrate commitment to and alignment with the organization’s brand values and service culture QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent required, along with six (6) months of janitorial experience.   Previous   stockroom   experience is preferred. • WHMIS trained or able to be trained on WHMIS EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.): • Must obtain and   maintain   all licenses / certifications per Federal,   Provincial ,   and Gaming   Commission. • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets preferred. • Must be   Nineteen   ( 19 ) years of age. • Must be able to   work on   holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time. • Ability to   frequently   move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is   frequently   required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel;   reach with   hands and arms,   talk   or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must   frequently   lift and/or move 25 pounds or more. • Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth   perception   and ability to adjust focus. • The work environmental characteristics described here may be representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. • The Casino environment is hectic,   fast-paced   and often crowded and noisy. • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times when you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise. WORKING CONDITIONS: Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area.
