Description
Brief Overview
This professional services business describes themselves as ‘events-heavy’ and they’re now looking for an Events Coordinator to help them focus on their current events diary and help them work out what works for them moving forward.
The role:
Reporting into the newly appointed Marketing & Business Development Manager, and working alongside a CRM executive, this is a brand new role to get to grips with everything events.
It’s a very well established professional services firm with a varied practise, but a strong history within rural & agricultural sectors. They run a lot of inhouse events across their 4 offices (at least one per week currently) which could range from drinks & networking sessions to webinars, but they also attend a lot of external events ranging from large conferences to agricultural shows, careers and student events and local business events. You will take care of the events calendar and everything associated with that, from logistics to invitations, to speakers to venue management and crucially post-event analysis.
You will brief an external agency for anything collateral, banners and marketing related and you’ll need to make sure you’re got a handle of stock control for all branded merchandise (especially for those student events!).
What we’re looking for:
We need an experienced events coordinator for this role, with at least a couple of years’ under your belt organising a variety of internal and external events where you can show experience of the full event cycle.
It would be a huge advantage if you have any experience of working within a professional services or partnership organisation – this isn’t a stuffy environment at all, but there is a different vibe from many companies.
We need someone who will be able to run with what’s already scheduled, but also someone who can really think about events moving forward and which ones might not be performing against ROI. Whilst you’ll have a ‘base’ office, you’ll be able to move around the 4 Midlands offices to attend events and liaise with internal stakeholders which could be on any day of the week. In short, you won’t be bored.
What’s on offer?
Salary is likely to be between £32-38k depending on experience, and this is a role which will grow and develop – there’s a degree of your input into this, but also to see how the role grows with the business as they continue to expand.
The role is offered on a hybrid basis, 3 days in the office – these days however cannot be fixed days due to the nature of the events happening. The events diary is meticulously planned however, so you’ll always know at least one month in advance where you might need to be.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone keen to develop their career within the events scene.
