We offer supporting programs and resources that provide enriching and equitable opportunities for each person to contribute professionally and personally.   P OSITION SUMMARY: The Equipment Specialist is a technical position assuming various years of experience.  This job requires advanced technical skills as well as hands-on experience in machining, turning, grinding, and other metalworking fabrication methods.  This position requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand geometric tolerancing.  Additionally, this position requires the ability to perform conversational programming on knee mills and lathes.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Able to work on tasks encompassing complete projects or portions of projects under the guidance of a Senior Equipment Specialist or Management Requires ability to fabricate parts of moderate to significant levels of complexity with efficiency and accuracy Requires ability to solve problems of significant scope and complexity Works under general supervision Requires ability to specify materials used to fabricate fixtures and tools Requires ability to effectively train Technicians and Associates on the proper use of fixtures and equipment Fabricate, assemble and debug fixtures, gages, and tooling to facilitate efficient assembly of products Verify accuracy of work utilizing various measuring techniques Work with Tooling Engineers to specify materials for equipment Demonstrated exceptional mechanical aptitude Demonstrated ability to work to tight tolerances (+/- .0005”)   ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Regular and predictable work performance Ability to work under fast-paced conditions Ability to make decisions and use good judgement Ability to prioritize various duties and multitask as required Ability to successfully work with others Additional duties as assigned   BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Undergraduate degree, vocational school, or related experience 3+ years of experience in a comparable position Machining experience Computer/data entry skills Verbal communication skills Problem solving/troubleshooting experience Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Assembly experience Basic CAD experience Engineering/design background Basic MasterCam Knowledge   OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift over 25 pounds Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Keywords: Machinist, Toolmaker, ProtoTRAK, Bridge
