EnerMech is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Mechanical Leading Hands for upcoming shutdown and maintenance project opportunities throughout the Gladstone region.  This opportunity is suited to trade-qualified mechanical professionals who are ready to lead from the front, support site crews, and help deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes across heavy industrial environments.  About the Role  As a Mechanical Leading Hand, you will work closely with supervisors and project teams to coordinate day-to-day mechanical activities, provide hands-on support to trades personnel, and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.  Key responsibilities include:  Leading and supporting mechanical crews across shutdowns, maintenance, breakdowns, and project scopes  Coordinating daily work activities, priorities, tools, materials, and resources  Providing hands-on mechanical fitting, installation, maintenance, and repair support as required  Assisting supervisors with work packs, permits, risk assessments, and job planning  Monitoring safety, quality, productivity, and progress across assigned work fronts  Supporting toolbox talks, pre-starts, and clear communication between crews and site leadership  Ensuring work is carried out in line with HSE, quality, and site requirements  Mentoring tradespeople and apprentices while promoting a strong safety-first culture  Requirements What We're Looking For  Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Leading Hand, senior Mechanical Fitter, or similar hands-on leadership role  Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitter and Turner, or equivalent  Experience across shutdowns, maintenance, turnarounds, breakdowns, and project work within heavy industry  Background working within LNG, oil and gas, mining, resources, power generation, alumina, refinery, or heavy industrial environments  Strong fault-finding, mechanical maintenance, installation, and problem-solving capability  Ability to lead by example, support crews, and communicate effectively with supervisors and site stakeholders  Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality standards  Current Driver’s Licence  Relevant site inductions, working at heights, confined space, EWP, gas testing, and first aid tickets highly regarded  Recent Police Clearance Full Australian Working Rights Benefits Why Join EnerMech?  Competitive remuneration and future project opportunities  Work with a leading global provider of integrated industrial services  Opportunity to support major Gladstone-based projects and shutdowns  Strong safety culture and professional development pathways  Diverse and challenging work environments  Register Y
