POSITION SUMMARY:       A food manufacturing organization is looking to appoint an EHS Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for aligning site specific Environmental Health and Safety processes with business goals and to engage employees to promote behaviors that will achieve the highest levels of productivity in the safest possible manner. The incumbent will establish, implement, and oversee all EHS programs.       ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :       Align corporate and local EHS goals and strategies   Lead EHS audits and inspections, developing remediation plans as needed   Lead multi-media environmental compliance including, but not limited to: Water (waste, storm); Waste (hazardous and non-hazardous); Air (external emissions)   Lead continuous improvement initiative regarding EHS policies and programs   Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations   Lead employee training programs regarding EHS behaviors and compliance    Complete accident investigations and serious incident reports   Recommend corrective/preventative measures where indicated   Interact with regulatory bodies and represent the company at local, state, and federal regulatory meetings   Determine the need for industrial hygiene monitoring (air, noise, heat stress, etc.) and conduct the monitoring or coordinate the monitoring with the appropriate agency   Review the results of industrial hygiene sampling and compare to established regulatory limits   Participate in Quality Assurance reviews within the facility   Assist in 3 rd  party audits and inspections pertaining to food safety and regulatory compliance   Manage emergency management programs   Manage safety budget   Develop and drive a safety committee team         COMPETENCIES:    Self-motivated with strong problem solving/critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.   Ability to use data to drive decisions.   Ability to remain organized while handling several projects and tasks independently in  fast -paced environment.   Strong professional verbal and written communication skills   Passion and alignment with Company mission, vision, values, and operating principles.   Ability to lead efficient and effective compliance programs regarding federal, state, and local Safety and Multi-Media Environmental regulations, including but not limited to Title V, RCRA, SPCC   Driving safe metrics downward while maintaining compliance with all federal and state safety regulations     EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:      Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Environmental Health & Safety or related discipline   ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:     Master’s degree in Occupational He
