How It Works: Begin your journey with us as a Wash Bay (WB) and work your way up through the ranks. There will be an educational reimbursement available to support your Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship. Your path will start from being a Wash Bay Attendant > Maintenance Assistant > Apprentice Technician > Journeyperson Technician Our Ideal Candidate will possess: • A valid Class 5F Driver's license is required. • Previous experience in a shop service-related environment considered an asset. • Basic computer skills - spreadsheets and email. • Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods. • Good time management & organizations skills. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work independently and within a team. • Willing to learn how to drive daycab/highway tractors with automated transmission and various heavy equipment (front end loader, forklift, etc). Work Environment/Conditions: • Shop/Wash Bay Environment . • Exposure to environmental conditions, outdoor   temperature   and direct sunlight. • Exposure to   Dust & Chemicals . • Ability to climb in and out of commercial motor vehicles and trailers   frequently . • Walking and standing for extended periods of time . • May be   required   to routin ely lift items weighing up to   40 kilograms. • Ability to hook/unhook trailers which   involves   lateral pulling and twisting/bending to lower trailer dollies. • Ability to slide trailer axle, which involves lateral pulling on an occasional basis. (once every 1-3 days) . • Minimal amount of exposure to vibration and jarring when   operating   equipment . Please note that this is a permanent full-time role with either a day or night shift (depending on availability at the time of offer): • Continental day or night shift (06:00-18:00 or 18:00-06:00) This job is classified under NOC Code: 75119.
