Description
The Entertainment Technician - Networks is responsible for setup and operation of entertainment equipment. Position Responsibilities Performs setup, operation, maintenance of Music Page System, network systems, network switches, video networks using fiber optics, CAT5 / CAT6 and networking of computer audio video systems, BSS systems, and Crestron systems. Crestron certification is required. Performs, but not limited to, the following: setup, operation, strike, inventory, construction and maintenance of all types of audio, lighting, staging and musical equipment used in entertainment area/events. Performs additional duties as required by the Department. Will work under the direction of Ocean’s AV Lead as well as the Entertainment Manager AV Sales. Essential Functions Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours. Lift and/or carry equipment, scenery or supplies weighing up to 75 pounds. Climb a ladder or stairs. Work at heights up to 50’ above the ground. Maneuver scenery and supplies weighing up to 1500 pounds using pallet jacks, rolling carts or forklifts. Drive a scissor lift. Sit, stand, or walk for an entire shift, depending upon needs. Operate electric motors, hydraulic motors, “follow spots”, lighting control boards, sound mixing consoles, microphones, equalizers and other entertainment technical equipment. Manipulate an electric saw, hammer, drill, screwdriver, pliers, wrenches, soldering irons, wire strippers and other hand tools. Able to work around loudspeakers, hazer and smoke machines, electricity and paint. Communicate via telephone, radio and headset intercom system. Bend and/or reach from ground level up to 6’ high. Push and/or pull scenery or carts weighing up to 200 pounds. Crawl 5 to 10 feet to get scenery setup up. Kneel to set up scenery.
