ABOUT THE ROLE An Application Engineer acts as the link between customers, sales, and engineering teams. Their job is to understand customer requirements and recommend or customize technical solutions. This is a role for a candidate based in India supporting Americas small engine customers. A seasoned candidate , be agile, adaptable to fast pace environment and round the clock calls are few things the role would demand. Key Responsibilities • Understand customer technical requirements. Able to translate the inputs to the design team & ensure the metrics are met. • Coordinate design reviews, feasibility, risk assessment with local CFT and global teams. • Recommend suitable products or engineering solutions. • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and cost estimates. • Provide product demonstrations and technical presentations. Since this is for the Americas, communication skills needs to be essentially good. Prior experience of working with global teams will be beneficial. • Understands APQP deliverables clearly, ensure the CFT is updated on a regular cadence basis. • Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams. • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide after-sales support. • Coordinate product testing and validation. • Maintain technical documentation and reports. Required Skills • Good problem-solving and analytical skills. • Knowledge of CAD software (if applicable). • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Customer-focused approach. • Project management and coordination skills. Typical Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, etc.). • 5–7 years of relevant experience (for experienced roles). Opens in a new tab.
