  LVT or Experienced Veterinary Assistant – Emergency/Critical Care (all shifts) Location:  Puget Sound Veterinary Specialists and Emergency  Schedule:  Day (6:3a-7p), Mid (1p-1a), Overnight (7p-6:30a)  Sign-On Bonus: $5000 for Overnight LVT or VTS    About Us:   Puget Sound Veterinary Specialists is a specialty animal hospital located in Gig Harbor, Washington. Our goal is to create an environment where both people and pets feel supported.     Position Overview and Schedule:   We are seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants and Licensed Technicians to join our Emergency and Critical Care Department team. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, collaboration, and professionalism in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment.    Schedule details:  3/12’s (4/10 schedule may be considered)     Essential Responsibilities:   Triage and obtain patient history from owners  Perform diagnostic tests and out-patient procedures  Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM  Provide oversight and treatment for multiple ER patients, ensuring gold-standard patient nursing and husbandry  Provide support and education to pet owners  Maintain accurate medical records  Discharge patients and answer client questions  Fill prescriptions and review with owners  Maintain cleanliness of the hospital     Required Qualifications:   Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ER setting, LVTs must hold an active Washington license or immanent transfer of licensure  Strong communication and interpersonal skills  Ability to handle fast-paced, high-stress situations with composure  Confidence in life-saving procedures such as CPR/BLS  Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills    Compensation & Benefits   Competitive hourly rate commensurate with clinical experience:  VTS ECC $40-$48  LVT $31-$40  Advanced or Experienced Veterinary Assistant $24-$32 Veterinary Assistant $20-28  $5 per hour differential for all hours worked between 7pm - 7:00am  $2 per hour differential for Saturday/Sunday 7am-7pm Tuition assistance for professional development  Employee Assistance Program (EAP)  Health, dental, and vision insurance (HSA/FSA available)  401(k) with employer match  Disability coverage  Generous Employee discounts  Paid time off (PTO) and call-in shift stipends  If you’re looking for a place where you can make an impact, feel supported, and continue to grow in your career, we would love to meet you.   For more information about our hospital, please visit  pugetsoundvetspecialists.com To apply, please contact Christine Erickson at  [email protected]   ABOUT LAKEFIELD VETERINARY GROUP   We believe exceptional veterinary care starts with exceptional people.       We partner with hospitals across the country to preserve what makes each practice special - its people, culture, and connection to community - while providing the operational support and resources that allow teams to thrive.       As we grow, we are committed to creating an environment whe
