WHAT YOU’LL DO
Our Assistant General Managers partner with the General Manager to create an environment in the store that authentically embodies the Philz culture. You will be responsible for coaching a team of individuals committed to providing exceptional customer service and coming together to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, for our customers and team. You will partner with the General Manager to execute company initiatives, drive financial results, and impact the store's operations. With everything you do, you’ll embody our Philz Core Values: Obsess Over Customers & Team, In Pursuit of Better, and Be Kind & Keep it Real.
In partnership with the Store Leader, you will oversee a mission-driven, values-based Philz Team Member culture this includes (but is not limited to)
Remain up-to-date on all Philz Policies and procedures to ensure a legally compliant and safe Team Member Philz journey.
Evaluate staffing levels for Baristas and Team Leads and assist in the interview process to ensure the store is consistently and appropriately staffed to meet business needs.
Create a community focused on providing an exemplary customer experience and bettering days
Role model exceptional customer connections, uphold all store service standards, and confidently coach Team Members to ensure they meet these expectations.
Maintain an operationally and financially solid environment.
Develop a deep understanding of the store's performance to drive improvements and achieve financial goals.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

3+ years experience in a retail or customer service environment
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach others
KEY REQUIREMENTS
To ensure the well-being of our team members and community, y ou will need to either have secured a Food Manager certification from prior work experience OR successfully complete the Philz Coffee Food Manager certification within the first 30 days of employment.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to:
Operate a variety of machines, tools, and equipment
Visual acuity to make general observations in regards to safety and accuracy of work
Remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 3 hours
Stand, walk, stoop, and kneel
Lift up to 50 pounds intermittently, lift 3 pounds to shoulder height repetitively
Grasp, finger, and reach
Express or exchange information by means of the spoken word
**Compensation & Benefits
A reasonable estimate of the starting base hourly rate for this role is $32.50 to $34.50.
