CGC Inc. is currently recruiting an Electrician for our gypsum quarry, based in Little Narrows, Nova Scotia. It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for motivated individuals to demonstrate their technical abilities to troubleshoot and maintain crushing and quarry equipment within a large corporation. Duties and responsibilities of the Electrician include: RESPONSIBILITIES Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations. Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance. Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records. May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices. Operation of test equipment. Cable pulling and termination. Cable tray installation. General electrical equipment installation · Training will be provided to operate the ship loader and general Mill production duties as needed. Follow safety practices for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public in accordance with the company safety manual. Understand and implement personal and company safety by adhering to all safety requirements. Requirements Has a Canadian Red Seal Certificate of Qualification as an electrician or currently in school working towards the Red Seal Certificate. · A minimum of two years’ experience is preferred in a manufacturing or mining environment. · Maintenance and repair experience in heavy equipment such as drills, loaders, dozers, and other mining equipment. Experience with electronics is an asset. Demonstrates the ability to work safely. Demonstrated troubleshooting skills. Highly motivated, results orientated team player. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Well organized.
