Electrical Maintenance Engineer | Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Bristol
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + Call Out + Excellent Benefits
Hours: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm
Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable Monday-Friday role where you can take ownership of a prestigious commercial site?
We're recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join one of the world's leading facilities management organisations, working on a long-term corporate office contract in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity to become the lead engineer on site, giving you genuine autonomy while working closely with an apprentice and building a strong relationship with the client. With over three years remaining on the contract, this role offers long-term stability, plenty of overtime and the chance to work within a supportive business that genuinely invests in its engineers.

The Role
As the lead engineer on site, you'll be responsible for delivering both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a modern commercial office building.
The role is heavily focused on PPMs, maintaining statutory compliance, managing specialist contractors and ensuring the highest standards of service are delivered. You'll also be the main point of contact for the client, making strong communication and customer service skills essential.
An apprentice is also based on site, giving you the opportunity to mentor and support the next generation of engineers.
Key Responsibilities
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)
• Reactive electrical maintenance and fault finding
• Lighting, power and electrical distribution systems
• Basic mechanical maintenance
• Contractor management and supervision
• Permit to Work administration
• Compliance checks and statutory inspections
• Client liaison and relationship management
• Updating maintenance records using the CAFM system
• Supporting the on-site apprentice
What We're Looking For
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Experience working within commercial building maintenance or facilities management
• Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
• Good all-round building services knowledge
• Experience managing contractors
• A professional, client-facing approach
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of a site
