Description
Perform routine maintenance and repair work on electrical and automation systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner. Diagnose electrical and automation problems by using testing devices, such as ammeters, voltmeters, and ohmmeters, to identify faults. Leadership and Oversight: Collaborate with direct supervisors on scheduling and planning activities. Resource Management: Allocate materials, tools, and equipment efficiently, ensuring all resources are available for workshop activities. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures, conducting regular safety training and inspections to maintain a safe working environment. Proper housekeeping of special tools and workshop environment to be clean and free from hazard Quality Control: Monitor work processes and outcomes to ensure adherence to high-quality standards, promptly addressing any issues. Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with team members, management, and other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration. Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational issues efficiently, utilizing critical thinking and resourcefulness. Requirements At least 3 years of combined experience with Cummins and Caterpillar engines, including proficiency in diagnostic tools like ET Laptop; certification from Cummins and Caterpillar is a plus. At least 5 years of electrical and automation troubleshooting experiences in all other shipboard system with relation to DEIF, Terasaki, and other power management system for example, alternator, AVR etc. Flexible and willing to learn attitude.
