The Education Network Durham & Newcastle seeks recently qualified secondary teachers for ECT's Wanted roles across Newcastle upon Tyne. These full-time positions offer a daily rate of £162.31 to £251.71. We require confident, reliable, and professional educators covering all subject specialisms. Placements commence in September 2026, with options for long-term contracts or short-term assignments to explore various schools. Successful candidates will complete their induction within established secondary settings, supported by encouraging, experienced department colleagues. The Education Network are currently recruiting ECTs covering all subject specialisms for roles commencing in September 2026. Whether you are looking for a full time long term placement or you are keen to explore different schools to gain further experience, we'd love to have a chat with you. We work with a wide range of schools, covering the whole of the North East. If you are a confident, reliable and professional teacher, we will be able to find you a role that suits your circumstances and preferences, in one of our established secondary schools. There, you will be supported to complete your induction by a department of encouraging and experienced colleagues. To be considered for the roles we have available, you must possess the following qualities: Recently qualified Experience in the classroom A degree in a relevant subject Strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students Excellent organisational and time management skills A valid enhanced DBS certificate or a willingness to apply for one Please note, this is a main pay scale role and the pay range of £162.31 - £251.71 is linked to your current teacher pay scale.
