Early Years Teaching Assistant - Reception Haringey (September 2026 Start) Position: Early Years Teaching Assistant (Reception) Start Date: September 2026 Location: Haringey, North London Hours: 08:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Full-time, full academic year Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic Early Years professional looking to support young learners at the very start of their school journey? We are delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive one-form entry primary school in Haringey that is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to support within a Reception class from September 2026. Role Overview Position: Early Years Teaching Assistant (Reception) Start Date: September 2026 Location: Haringey, North London Hours: 08:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Full-time, full academic year Key Responsibilities As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children's learning and development within the Reception class, including: • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework • Assisting with the planning and preparation of activities that promote early development across all areas of learning • Supporting children's social, emotional, and communication development • Working with small groups and individuals to reinforce learning and provide targeted support • Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment • Observing and contributing to the assessment of children's progress • Promoting positive behaviour and modelling good social interactions • Supporting children with additional needs, where required • Assisting with classroom organisation, resources, and daily routines The Ideal Candidate Will: • Have experience working within an Early Years or Reception setting • Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework • Be patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about supporting young children • Be proactive and able to use initiative within the classroom • Work well as part of a team and contribute positively to the school community • Have strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude About the School This one-form entry primary school in Haringey offers a welcoming and inclusive environment, where every child is supported to thrive.
