Description
We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring individuals to join our Day Nursery team, which forms part of Blackmoor Park Infant School and Kindergarten. This is a full-year position on a 52-week contract, and not a term-time only role, so applicants must be able to work throughout the year, including school holiday periods. Essential Skills and Qualities: • A genuine passion for working with young children (ages 0–3) and supporting their development • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues • A nurturing, patient, and caring approach • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently • Good organisational skills and attention to detail • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Experience and Qualifications: • A relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent) • Previous experience working in an early years or nursery setting • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection practices • Experience of planning and delivering engaging activities that support children’s learning and developmen • Work 10 hour shifts in line with our new operational structure form September 2026. Desirable: • Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain) • Understanding of inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and welcoming team.
