About This Role We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team, supporting our Teachers and Director in creating a nurturing environment for our children. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of our educational program, developing positive relationships with children and their parents, and observing and documenting children's progress. What You'll Do • Help create a positive and engaging learning environment by participating in curriculum activities and encouraging children's involvement. • Ensure the smooth operation of the classroom by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment. • Maintain open lines of communication with parents through regular informal discussions. • Model good behavior and promote self-help and good hygiene among children. • Assist in transitioning children from home to the child care center each day. • Adhere to all center policies and state regulations at all times. • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance skills and contribute to continuous quality improvement. Requirements • Must pass health screening. • Must clear full background check. • Ability to work well with others. • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. • High energy. • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • A strong understanding of child development.
