The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced ERP Consultant to join their growing Service Delivery Team. In this client-facing role, you will act as a vital bridge between our client's specialised industry expertise and their customer base, building lasting relationships and serving as a trusted advisor to ensure the success of complex software implementations. You will provide end-to-end consultancy, implementation services, training, and support, focusing heavily on functional analysis, gap-fit training, system configuration, and writing specifications for business change using Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC and proprietary healthcare vertical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Solution Configuration & Analysis: Analyse client requirements and objectives to determine how the client's proprietary vertical solutions and Dynamics NAV/BC can best meet business needs, producing requirements and managing client configuration and process re-design.
• Implementation & Advisory: Deliver full-cycle implementation services, hands-on assistance, and advisory consulting for project-related tasks to ensure successful go-lives.
• Data Management: Oversee data migration, integration, and data transfer tasks as defined by project scopes.
• Testing & Documentation: Manage process and system testing, and create accurate documentation in line with company operational frameworks.
• Training & Development: Deliver comprehensive training to key-user and end-user teams, both on-site and remotely.
Knowledge & Experience
• Direct understanding of the NHS and the public sector healthcare landscape.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain, inventory, and procurement from a business-led perspective.
• Proven ability to collect, clean, and analyse data.
• Hands-on experience configuring Microsoft Dynamics NAV (2014 onwards) / Business Central modules: Inventory, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Vendor Procurement, and Purchase Requisitions.
• Experience with mid-market or enterprise ERP implementations and system testing.
• Understanding of Mobility Solutions (PDAs) and their deployment/integration with Dynamics NAV.
Skills & Competencies
• Excellent relationship-building, commercial awareness, and communication skills to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-mediation abilities.
• Highly organised self-starter capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Requirements: Full driving licence, access to your own vehicle, and willingness to travel to customer sites with occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications & Training
• Degree educated (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience delivering complex IT and change management projects (scoping, documentation, planning).
• Prince 2 Foundation project management qualification.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and Visio.
