DSU Content Team Volunteer Role Description: As a volunteer on our Content Team, you will help to generate ideas for the DSU social media and be featured in engaging digital content on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. This is a volunteer position with up to a $500 honorarium per semester. Requirements for honorarium include attending 2 content brainstorming meetings per month and participating in the filming of at least 4 pieces of content per month. Key Responsibilities: • Bringing forward content ideas for event promotion on social media • With the Social Media Coordinator, helping to plan relevant and trending content ideas for holidays, and general student engagement. • Availability to help film, and be filmed, for content creation. • Willingness to be in the Dal Tiger Suit for filming when required. Time commitment expected: • Attending 2 brainstorming meetings per month. • Participation in the filming/ creation of at least 4 pieces of content / month. Required/ Skills & Training: • Strong verbal and written communications skills • Comfortable interacting with people on and off camera. • Comfortable with being on camera & highlighted on our social media platforms • Reliability, Honesty, friendly • An interested in content creation / generation • Training Is currently done during scheduled volunteer times Mandatory Activities: • Attendance at content planning meetings • Being on camera for content filming when required • Some email correspondence is required Benefits: • Strengthen your communication, language, and interpersonal skills • Build connections and network with your peers (meet new people and have fun!) • Great experience for your CV • Receive volunteer recognition upon completion • Add the experience to your Dalhousie Co-Curricular Record (CCR) Reports To: • Social Media Coordinator Important: This position requires volunteers to be available in-person
