Hartley People Recruitment are currently working alongside a long-standing client of ours within the manufacturing industry to fill the position of a Draughtsperson/ CAD Technician based in Kilmacthomas, County Waterford. Key Responsibilities: • Work closely with the Estimation team to ensure a smooth handover of projects for ordering and production. • Provide expert support to customers on technical queries, assisting with design elements and securing necessary approvals. • Act as the point of contact for customers to confirm production schedules and agree on delivery timelines. • Generate material orders for projects and forward them to the Supply Chain department for procurement. • Oversee and track the progress of material orders, ensuring efficient prioritisation of assigned projects. • Create and distribute detailed technical drawings and manufacturing instructions to the Production department. • Maintain accurate project records to monitor material and labour costs and overall project efficiency. • Prepare and issue delivery notes and dispatch documentation for completed projects. • Liaise with the Accounts department to facilitate timely and accurate invoicing for each project. • Participate in weekly production meetings to stay informed on project progress and address any potential issues. Requirements: • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a production or manufacturing environment. • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD is essential. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client satisfaction. • A strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to adjust to changing project demands.
