We are looking for a Domiciliary Care Worker based in Cardiff. Would you like to work evenings or weekends to earn an additional income? We're looking for someone caring, reliable and honest, who can work alone or as part of a team to provide the best possible care within the service user's home and our care homes — helping them remain as independent as possible. What the role involves • Carrying out personal care and supporting social activities and individual social networks, as set out in each service user's plan of care. • Encouraging service users to undertake tasks themselves wherever possible. • Keeping accurate, detailed records while maintaining privacy in line with our confidentiality policy. • Liaising, where appropriate, with relatives, GPs and other health professionals to promote good communication and high-quality care. • Contributing to care plan updates and taking part in reviews and reassessments of service users' needs. • Supporting individuality, dignity and freedom of choice at all times. What you'll need • Ability to respect confidentiality, dignity, privacy and individual preferences in the service user's home. • Willingness to work towards a QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (training provided). • An enhanced DBS disclosure (required for successful applicants). • Preferably a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. • Experience preferred but not essential — full training provided.
