Excellent opportunity for an experienced domestic couple seeking a stable, long-term role with accommodation provided and a high degree of trust and responsibility A private family based in Ascot is seeking an experienced, proactive and long-term live-in domestic couple to oversee the smooth running, presentation and maintenance of a substantial 7-bedroom family home and grounds. This is a part time residence with the property more in use during the summer months and less in the winter. If a weekend is required then time will be given back in lieu. This is a hands-on role suited to an energetic, practical and highly organised couple who take pride in maintaining a beautiful property to exceptional standards. The family is looking for individuals who are not passive or reactive, but who naturally take initiative, anticipate needs and genuinely care about the environment they manage. The successful couple will be responsible, hardworking, discreet, trustworthy and professional, with a friendly can-do attitude and a flexible approach to family life Job specification: Housekeeper: Daily housekeeping and deep cleaning Laundry, ironing and linen care Preparing bedrooms for family arrivals Household shopping, provisioning and errands Managing deliveries, stock and household inventories Assisting with care of one elderly dog Preparing family meals and supporting occasional entertaining Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the household All Rounder/Property Maintenance: Overseeing the presentation and maintenance of the house and grounds General handyman and preventative maintenance duties Supporting gardening and exterior upkeep Vehicle care, waste management and estate checks Monitoring household systems, security and utilities Managing contractors and service providers Maintaining household manuals, inventories and records Reporting to the Family PA/House Manager Driving and household errands as required Candidate specification: Previous experience working within private households or estates A long-term mindset and commitment A proactive and solutions-led attitude Strong attention to detail Confidence working independently and taking initiative Excellent organisational skills Good communication skills and discretion Strong practical and problem-solving abilities Confidence liaising with contractors and service providers Good technology literacy and troubleshooting ability Flexibility around the family’s schedule A full clean driving licence Accommodation: A self-contained 1-bedroom flat is provided. Unfortunately pets and dependents cannot be accommodated.
