About the Role • We are looking for motivated new grad students to become part of our DME Team. This is the perfect opportunity for graduating students who are interested in keniesiology or becoming a Physical Therapist. No prior experience needed. We will train. Work with a wide spectrum of highly regarded orthopedic surgeons and healthcare providers in the Bay Area. Gain considerable experience in patient care. Grow as a professional working in a fun, fast-paced, collaborative, and diverse environment. What You'll Do • Assisting in applying and removing casts, splints, and dressings as directed • Assisting in fitting patients with braces, boots, other DME as ordered and directed by physician • Performing gait training and crutch fitting as directed • Providing patient education materials, communicates physician advice/instructions to patient • Providing patient care under the supervision of a certified Athletic Trainer • Ensuring that all necessary documentation is obtained as it relates to payer requirements and standard operating procedures • Performing patient care responsibilities as assigned, which may include scheduling patients, inventory maintenance, order processing, delivery, explanation of insurance benefits, and courtesy follow up calls • Additional duties as assigned What We're Looking For: • Ability to make decisions and solve problems • Ability to triage patient care questions related to post-op, post-injury, infection, complications, etc • Work effectively as team member with physicians and other staff • Must have a flexible work schedule with the ability to work late some days and work through the lunch break on busy clinic days • Must be able to work full-time 40 hours a week Monday - Friday What We Offer • Collaborative and friendly work environment • Full coverage for Employee PPO Medical insurance • 401k and Profit-Sharing Program • Paid Vacation, Floating Holidays, Regular Holidays, Sick Time • Employee Discount Programs • Internal Mobility About Golden State Orthopedics & Spine We’re proud to be a leader in the orthopedic healthcare industry and one of the largest orthopedic practices in the Western United States.
