Description
As Distinguished Architect, you will be responsible for groundbreaking integration support across multiple technological and/or business platforms. The distinguished architect is capable of leading a team of architects and works alongside senior management, software engineers and technologists to ensure the strategic alignment of technological solutions and business objectives. The Distinguished Architect will provide architectural mentorship and oversight across a portfolio of Company Platforms. The Distinguished architect is capable of presenting designs and ideas to an Architecture Review Board and to executive technology and business leadership.Key Responsibilities:Developing architectural strategy roadmap across assigned business and technology platforms, ensuring enterprise-level consistency and alignment.Guiding end to end solution architecture for banking applications, ensuring scalability and security.Defining and facilitating architectural discovery proposals that includes technology trends, cost optimization, and system integration to executives, delivery and product teams.Establishing and communicating strategy to executive staff, industry partners and customers; using recognized technical and business expertise to influence, guide, and craft business strategy and decision-making at the highest interpersonal levels.Providing consultation, design input, technical direction and feedback for consistent Company Platform architectural approaches across portfolio Principal Architects and senior engineering leadership.Driving and developing product and solution strategies that inform product requirements and investment decisions for Company Platforms across the organization, weaving the enterprise technology vision into the planning and investment processes.Required Qualifications:15+ years of working experience in payments, private banking and wealth systems, with expertise in products, solutions architecture and aligning technology to business goals, demonstrated through a proven track record of developing impactful solutionsxperience with BNPL, Open Banking, cross-border payments and external networksExperience implementing large-scale technological enhancements and/or pivots, including pilot implementation and analysisExcellent understanding of DevSec0ps, Multi-Cloud Implementation ArchitectureUnderstanding of multiple programming languages, including at least one front end framework (Angular/React/Vue), such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Golang, C, C++, etc.Experience working with IT infrastructure and cloud developmentExperience working with data and DBMS, including legacy and emerging database technologiesExperience with RDBMS, NoSQL.Experience building highly available customer-facing applications, in a GDHA settingExperience building cloud-native applicationsExperience with API’s, event streaming frameworksExperience designing highly available and resilient solutions, automation, identify opportunity of performance improvements, Able to transform traditional monolith architecture stack to modern microservices based loosely decoupled architecture.A bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science or a related fieldExperience in 2 or 3 of the following technology areas. Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, Application Development, Database technologies, Cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related discipline.Desired Qualifications:10+ years of working experience in the financial services industry with an added focus on Private Banking, Wealth and Payment SystemsStaying updated with advancements in the technology, regulations, and market trendsUI/UX experience, including relevant web/application branding techniquesComfortable/experience navigating large corporate structureExecutive speaking and presentation skills- Formal presentations, white-boarding, large and small group presentationsEducation and Certifications:Required: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplinePreferred: Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline.Compensation Range:$160k -$210kIs this job not quite the right fit?
