Are you ready to make an impact? West Monroe is seeking a Director to join our Organization People & Change practice within the Productivity & Workforce Transformation discipline . This role is designed for a leader with a clear point of view on how organizations improve productivity—combining workforce analytics, process redesign, cost takeout, and AI-enabled workflow transformation to unlock measurable value. Our Productivity & Workforce Transformation team focuses on helping clients redesign how work gets done at scale—improving labor efficiency, reducing cost, increasing throughput, and embedding AI into day-to-day operations. What you’ll do: Lead work transformation & cost takeout engagements Lead client engagements focused on labor productivity, cost takeout, operating model improvement, and process redesign Assess workflows, service models, and management systems to identify value leakage Build quantified value cases using operational data, work measurement, and financial modeling Translate opportunities into executable roadmaps with clear ownership, milestones, and value realization Drive AI-enabled workflow transformation Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and decision support within business processes Prioritize use cases based on business impact, feasibility, and adoption readiness Redesign workflows that embed AI into how work gets done (including human-in-the-loop models) Ensure initiatives are tied to measurable outcomes through KPI definition, tracking, and governance Drive business development Originate and close productivity/work transformation-focused engagements (e.g., labor optimization, cost takeout, AI-enabled workflow transformation) Develop proposals, scopes, pricing approaches, and staffing models Identify and shape follow-on opportunities by translating client pain points into quantified value stories Partner across industry and technology teams to bring integrated solutions to market Lead teams & grow the practice Own engagement delivery, team leadership, quality, economics, and client satisfaction Coach team members in productivity methods, structured problem solving, and executive communication Contribute to productivity/workforce methodologies, tools, and go-to-market assets What you’ll bring: 10+ years of experience in consulting, operations, or transformation roles Deep experience in productivity improvement, including labor efficiency, workforce analytics, cost takeout, or process transformation Strong ability to build and communicate quantified business cases (workload analysis, capacity, cost, ROI) Experience applying process improvement methods (e.g., lean, workflow analysis, operating model design) Ability to connect AI (including generative AI and automation ) to practical workflow use cases and measurable outcomes Track record of selling and delivering work in a consulting or advisory environment Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills Experience in one or more of West Monroe’s core industries preferred What success looks like You quickly identify and quantify productivity opportunities and mobilize teams to capture value Engagements deliver measurable outcomes (cost reduction, labor efficiency, throughput improvement, capacity unlock) Clients adopt AI-enabled workflows that drive sustained operational impact You help grow the Productivity & Workforce Transformation discipline through delivery, mentorship, and business development Based on pay transparency guidelines, a reasonable expectation for the salary range for this role is listed below.
