Description
We are looking for someone with the confidence to engage with influential stakeholders, the credibility to represent the company in important discussions, the curiosity to understand complex issues, and the drive to take ownership and make things happen. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of business, politics, policy, communication and international affairs. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape how Aker QRILL Company engages with governments, NGOs, investors, scientific institutions and other influential stakeholders around the world. Reporting to the Chief Policy Officer, you will play a key role in driving stakeholder engagement, advocacy, reputation and external positioning efforts. You will contribute to high-level discussions, help shape important narratives and represent the company in complex and often contested environments. This is a highly operational role with significant responsibility and visibility. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, builds momentum and turns ideas into action. Someone who is comfortable operating independently, building trusted relationships and driving work forward in a fast-moving international environment. Key Responsibilities Support and drive strategic stakeholder engagement across international arenas Monitor, analyse and translate political, regulatory, reputational and geopolitical developments into clear recommendations Develop briefings, presentations, stakeholder analyses and strategic communication materials Help shape narratives and communication around complex business, policy and reputation-related topics Support senior leadership with preparation for meetings, events and external engagements Coordinate projects, stakeholder initiatives and international activities across functions Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and partners Contribute to issue management, reputation-building efforts and external positioning activities Leverage AI tools, modern research methods and data-driven insight to generate analysis, strengthen communication and improve decision-making Who We Are Looking For You may come from public affairs, strategic communications, diplomacy, international relations, consulting, corporate affairs, policy or stakeholder engagement. Experience from the seafood or marine sector is not required. We are looking for someone with the confidence to engage with influential stakeholders, the credibility to represent the company in important discussions, the curiosity to understand complex issues, and the drive to take ownership and make things happen. You are comfortable engaging with influential stakeholders, whether they are policymakers, investors, NGO leaders, researchers, industry representatives or senior business leaders. You are not intimidated by authority, titles or established viewpoints. Instead, you bring credibility, preparation and sound judgement to important conversations, and are confident contributing to discussions that shape opinions, partnerships and strategic outcomes. You are comfortable engaging in difficult conversations, challenging assumptions and representing the company in demanding or high-profile situations. You combine strong communication skills with sound judgement and are able to navigate complex stakeholder environments with confidence and credibility.
