Description
The Director of Events provides executive-level strategic vision, leadership, and operational oversight for all major Cru/FamilyLife events, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic goals. This dynamic leader is responsible for the overall consistency of mission and programming elements for a diverse event portfolio, including existing and new large-scale events. The Director will lead, mentor, and support event teams, in order to help drive the engagement of multiplying marriages and families, donor engagement, and ensure the efficiency and spiritual impact of events and operations in the events space.
Job Duties

Strategic Leadership: Be accountable for the implementation of, organization-wide strategy for all events that aligns with the mission and goals, ensuring consistency of our fundraising, outreach, and community engagement.

Vision & Innovation: Serve as the primary steward for the events portfolio, ensuring all events reflect the organization’s Christian mission and partner to create engaging and impactful experiences.

Operational Oversight: Oversee the operational and strategic execution of event-related field operations and logistics, including program delivery, capacity management, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Budget & Finance: Work with the COO and finance team to develop, manage, and control multi-event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource utilization.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain executive-level relationships with ministry leaders, sponsors, donors, churches, and other key stakeholders to further the organization’s mission and secure resources.

Performance Evaluation: Establish clear metrics to assess the overall effectiveness and alignment of events with organizational objectives, and provide regular reports to leadership and stakeholders.

Crisis Management: Ensure the development of contingency plans and provide executive oversight for managing emergencies or crises in the field or during events.
