Our Client:
Our client is building the next generation functional cookie company reimagining cookies as snacks with real benefits. Their brand is built on the belief that flavor comes first and function should never feel like a compromise. They are launching with three functional SKUs across Focus, Fuel, and Sleep, and building a brand designed to scale into a modern food conglomerate spanning DTC and retail. We are weeks from launch and entering our most important execution phase. Our site is not just a store. It is the engine of our brand, community, and revenue.
The Role:
They are hiring a Director of E-Commerce to build and own the entire digital revenue engine of the brand. You will take us from zero to launch, from launch to $50k+ monthly revenue, and from early traction to a scalable DTC and omnichannel machine. You will own the website, the funnel, the growth strategy, and the performance outcomes. This is a builder role. You will architect the system and personally operate it.
What You Will Own:
Launch, revenue, and financial ownership
• Lead all DTC workstreams to support our 4/7 launch
• Own hitting at least $50k in DTC revenue in month one
• Build systems to drive 10 to 20% month over month growth
• Own DTC revenue forecasting, growth planning, and performance pacing
• Own DTC budget management, channel spend, and return on investment
• Partner with Ops and leadership to manage contribution margins and channel level
profitability
Site ownership and merchandising
• Own Shopify end-to-end
• Build conversion focused PDPs, bundles, and merchandising
• Partner closely with brand and creative to bring launches to life
• Continuously optimize site experience to improve conversion, AOV, and repeat purchase
Subscription, gifting, and retention
• Build and optimize subscription from day one
• Design gifting experiences, bundles, and seasonal programs
• Own retention, repeat purchase, LTV, and cohort performance
• Build loyalty, referral, and community driven commerce programs
Performance, affiliate, and growth marketing
• Lead performance marketing strategy and execution
• Own the full digital growth stack including paid social, search, affiliate, creators,
marketplaces, email, SMS, and emerging channels
• Build and scale our affiliate and creator commerce engine
• Launch and manage affiliate platforms, partnerships, and commission structures
• Recruit, enable, and optimize creators and partners to drive performance based revenue
• Manage agencies or freelancers as needed
• Own CAC, ROAS, LTV, and payback
• Rapidly test channels, creatives, offers, and landing experiences
Lifecycle, SEO, and search AI
• Own email and SMS strategy
• Build high performing flows and campaigns
• Own SEO and organic growth from zero
• Develop the SEO roadmap across site structure, content, PDPs, and technical foundations
• Develop a search forward and AI search strategy to ensure the brand is discoverable
across emerging AI driven search platforms
• Partner with content and brand teams to create high intent, high converting organic traffic
engines
New channels and marketplaces
• Own TikTok Shop and Amazon from a digital commerce and growth standpoint
• Build merchandising, traffic, and conversion strategies specific to each marketplace
• Lead storefront experience, creative testing, and promotional strategy
• Partner with Ops to scale inventory, fulfillment, and channel expansion
• Own revenue, CAC, and contribution margin performance on each marketplace
Customer experience and service
• Own the customer service experience across DTC and marketplaces
• Select and manage customer service tools, partners, or platforms
• Build support workflows, macros, and service standards
