Description
The Director of Construction Technology will  evaluate,  identify , and execute GMF Steel Group’s construction technology strategy in support of the company’s operational and long-term business  objectives . They will lead and mentor staff,  fostering  professional development  and continuous improvement .  The Director will oversee  the planning, deployment, coordination, and management of construction technology initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and performance.  As a champion of innovation, they will drive technology adoption  across the organization and ensure solutions  support  the company’s strategic goals. Responsibilities: • Lead initiatives and implementations of new construction technologies • Recommend technology investments based on GMF’s goals and return on investment • Remain  knowledgeable of  current field  operations and industry practices  and  identify  how technology can be  leveraged  more effectively • Establish guidelines and procedures to ensure effective  utilization  across departments • Attend conferences and research  new updates  to software and equipment • Have a strong understanding of heavy commercial construction processes and terminology • Comprehensive understanding of construction technology and ability to quickly master new software quickly • Lead and mentor staff to support growth and department success Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree • Minimum five years of experience working in the AEC industry • Proven knowledge in Tekla Structures, Trimble, Procore,  BlueBeam • Experience in Project Controls, Cost Management, and  Forecasting,  is preferred • Experience managing direct reports • Strong written and oral communication; experience in teaching, training, and presentations.
