Director of Compliance & Risk Management Location: York County, Maine Reports To: Chief Executive Officer York County Community Action Corporation (YCCAC) is seeking an experienced and collaborative Director of Compliance & Risk Management to provide strategic leadership for the organization's agency-wide compliance and risk management program. This is a key leadership position that works closely with executive leadership, Department Directors, and the Board of Directors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while strengthening organizational systems that promote accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. The Director serves as YCCAC's Compliance Officer and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer, with independent reporting responsibilities to the Board Compliance and Personnel Committee. Position Summary The Director of Compliance & Risk Management leads and coordinates agency-wide compliance and risk management efforts across all programs and departments. This position serves as a strategic partner to leadership by helping departments understand and implement regulatory requirements, strengthen internal controls, prepare for audits and monitoring visits, identify and mitigate organizational risks, and foster a culture of ethical practice and continuous improvement. While Department Directors remain responsible for compliance within their own programs, the Director provides agency-wide leadership, guidance, tools, technical assistance, and oversight to ensure consistency and effectiveness across the organization.
