Amylyx is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director, Commercial FP&A to serve as the primary finance partner to the Commercial organization. This role will provide financial leadership, business insights, and decision support that drive profitable growth while ensuring accurate revenue forecasting, reporting, and performance management.
As a key member of the Finance team, the Director will partner closely with Commercial, Accounting, and Executive Leadership to develop financial plans, evaluate strategic investments, support revenue guidance, and enhance decision-making across the organization. This individual will play a critical role in helping the company scale its commercial operations by delivering robust forecasting, performance analytics, and actionable insights into key business drivers.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary finance business partner to Commercial leadership, providing financial guidance, strategic insights, and decision support to drive growth and profitability.
Lead the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes for the various Commercial functions, ensuring alignment between financial objectives and business strategy.
Develop and maintain robust financial models, forecasts, and business analytics to evaluate revenue performance, commercial investments, pricing strategies, and growth opportunities.
Analyze key commercial performance metrics and business drivers, including revenue growth, sales productivity, pipeline conversion, payer mix, pricing, customer economics, and operating expenses.
Provide executive-level financial reporting and performance insights, delivering clear recommendations on risks, opportunities, and actions to improve business outcomes.
Partner with Commercial leaders to establish performance targets and accountability measures, monitoring progress against budget, forecast, and strategic objectives.
Lead strategic investment analyses and business case development to support resource allocation, market expansion, commercial initiatives, and other growth opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, forecasting methodologies, reporting capabilities, and financial systems to enhance decision-making, scalability, and organizational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance business partnering, or commercial finance, including leadership responsibility
Experience working in the life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries, including support of commercial operations, revenue forecasting, pricing strategy, and commercialization initiatives.
Deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, and performance management, with the ability to
