With offices in California and Shanghai, Structure Therapeutics has the benefit of being at the center of life science innovation in both the US and China and capitalizing on the strengths of each geographic location.   Reporting directly or operationally into the VP, Clinical Operations, the role supports the broader coordination of efforts across teams  to ensure impactful contributions to AI integration Position Summary: The Director of Clinical AI Technologies  is  responsible for   translating clinical operation needs into AI-driven solutions to  lead the  strategy, implementation, and scaling of artificial intelligence  (AI)  solutions that enhance the execution and performance of clinical trials. This role focuses on embedding AI into day-to-day  C linical  Develo p ment   O perations to improve study delivery, site performance, patient  enrollment/ engagement /retention , and data quality.  As a leader within Clinical  Development  Operations, you will transform "AI potential" into "operational performance." Job Responsibilities: • Evaluate,  design   and execute a roadmap / framework  for AI integration across  C linical   D evelopment   O perations ,  prioritizing high impact areas • Identify  and prioritize AI use cases to improve trial execution (e.g., site activation, enrollment, monitoring, issue detection) . Embed  AI tools into core Clinical Operations workflows, ensuring they are user-friendly for Clinical Trial Managers (CTMs) and C lini cal  Research Associated (C RA ) s. • Define and track KPIs to measure the ROI of AI implementations • Collaborate  with   cross-functional teams ( C linical,  Clinical  science, IT,  Q uality,  R egulatory ,  etc ) to  ensure alignment  with  AI solutions /  initiatives  and   integrate with  existing   programs • Oversee vendor evaluation, selection, and management for AI-enabled clinical technologies  including  AI vendors and technology platforms. M anage these partnerships to ensure AI outputs are  validated  and actionable. • Facilitate knowledge transfer and best practices for AI applications within clinical  operations  settings • Drive adoption through training, change management, and stakeholder engagement • Establish  Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and  governance for AI use in clinical  dev elopment  operations, including validation, performance monitoring, and documentation • Ensure compliance with GCP / GxP , regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards • Continuously assess emerging technologies and recommend innovations to improve operational performanc e • Working remotely will be entertained and subject to the requirements to come to HQ 1 week/month Education/ Qualifications : • BS or advanced degree in Life Sciences,  Computer Science,  Data Science, or  technical  field • Minimum  8   years of experience in within pharma, biotech, or CRO settings , including  5+ years of experience in AI/ML  ( m achine learning) , advanced analytics, or digital health initiatives • Experience leading or  participating  in AI projects within clinical or biomedical domains. • Understanding  of   clinical  trial processes with skills to translate them into AI solutions. • Background in AI, machine learning, and data science, with practical experience in clinical applications. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration. • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for AI in clinical trials. • Demonstrated ability to contribute to innovation and change within a matrixed organization. For this role, the  anticipated  base pay range is  $237,000 - $285,000 . The exact  base  pay offered for this role will depend on  various factors , including but not limited to the candidate’s geography, qualifications, skills, and experience. At Structure , base pay is only one part of your total compensation package.
