Overview: Join Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) in making a meaningful impact on the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will play a crucial role in facilitating the development of basic living and social skills, with the primary goal of integrating our residents into the community to the best of their abilities. We are offering full-time, part-time, and per diem positions across our network of community residences in Westchester County, with hourly rates ranging from $18.15 - $20.35. Responsibilities: As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): • Providing personalized assistance and support that promote independence and active participation in daily living. • Administering medications responsibly as assigned. • Ensuring the well-being and safety in all aspects of the community residence. • Observing and reporting any health concerns, incidents and signs of abuse promptly and appropriately. • Upholding the human rights and dignity of the people you support. • Additional duties as assigned. Requirements: We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent • Valid driver’s license for over two years is preferred • Ability to engage in tasks such as lifting, moving, and other physical activities • Willingness to participate in, pass and maintain certification of WJCS required training programs, including Medication Administration, SCIP, CPR/First Aid, Driving the Van, and other Mandatory Training as identified by OPWDD.
