Job Overview We are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a talented and driven individual to step into the role of Digital Trust and Safety Specialist with French — a position that sits at the heart of one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving industries in the world: social media. Based on-site in the vibrant city of Sofia, Bulgaria, this French-speaking jobs opportunity places you on the front line of protecting online communities, ensuring safe and positive digital experiences for millions of French-speaking users across leading social media platforms. If you are passionate about digital integrity, online safety, and the social media landscape, and you are seeking impactful jobs in Bulgaria, this is the role for you. Key Responsibilities Review and moderate user-generated content on social media platforms in French, identifying and acting upon violations of community standards and platform policies. Assess and make accurate decisions on reported content including hate speech, misinformation, graphic material, harassment, and other harmful digital behaviours across social media environments. Investigate complex trust and safety cases escalated from frontline teams, applying policy knowledge and critical judgement to resolve them efficiently and fairly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including policy, legal, and engineering to flag emerging trends, new threat vectors, and systemic risks within social media ecosystems. Provide clear, well-documented rationale for content decisions in line with platform guidelines and regulatory frameworks applicable to French-speaking markets. Monitor social media activity for coordinated inauthentic behaviour, spam networks, and account manipulation that may threaten platform integrity. Participate in regular calibration sessions and quality audits to maintain consistency and accuracy in trust and safety decision-making. Contribute to the development and refinement of internal guidelines and best practices specific to French-language content and cultural context within the social media space. Requirements Native or fluent French language skills (both spoken and written) are mandatory for this role, as you will be working exclusively with French-language content and French-speaking user cases. Valid EU passport (mandatory requirement for employment and relocation eligibility). A strong understanding of social media platforms, online communities, digital content ecosystems, and current trends in the social media industry. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound, consistent, and impartial content moderation decisions under pressure. High level of emotional resilience and the ability to professionally manage exposure to potentially sensitive, disturbing, or graphic content as part of the trust and safety function. Good command of English for internal communication, training, and cross-team collaboration within the international work environment. Prior experience in content moderation, trust and safety, digital compliance, or a related field within the social media or technology sector is a distinct advantage.
